Expect the Following Construction Stages:

  1. Curb & Gutter Replacements July 12-30 – During this construction, the road will remain open, however lanes widths will be reduced.   Flaggers will be onsite in case of any conflicts.
  2. Storm Sewer Repairs July 14-23 – 57 Street will be closed at two separate times to repair catchbasin and its leads.   Detours will be setup to prevent traffic from entering any open excavations.  Please be aware of the signage and keep out of any barricaded areas.
  3. Roadway Repairs August 9-14 – During this phase, asphalt repairs will be completed while maintaining one lane of traffic.  Please note there will be open excavations so be aware of the signage and barricades.  As well flag persons will be onsite to direct traffic.
  4. Roadway Milling & Overlays August 16-31 – In preparation for this stage, the road will remain open to one lane traffic.   Flaggers will be directing traffic so please pay attention.  As well, we will be using large equipment including road pavers and compactors to lay tack and asphalt.  Please note that the tack can be messy.  Please keep off with vehicles and foot traffic until it has time to cure.   Please respect the lane closures and stay clear of the area until completion.

Telus and Eastlink line relocations are currently underway.

Nu Edge Construction Ltd. will mobilize to site in August following the shallow utility line relocations. Work is expected to be completed by September 4, 2021, weather dependent.
