No. While the wastewater consumption charge was originally supposed to be applied as of January 2018, it was not applied to customer invoices until October 1, 2018. The City of Wetaskiwin is not retroactively charging ratepayers for the months the charge was not levied.
The current fee structure allows ratepayers to control the amount they are billed by moderating their water consumption. This means that the less water you use, the less you will have to pay.
