Wetaskiwin Stories
Nio's Bakery
We opened the bakery in June of 2017 in a little hidden commercial area in Wetaskiwin. The space was so crowded that after 3 years we decided to move and expand. Through God's grace, we survived 3 years and with his continuous blessing, the bakers passion, and community support, we are still serving the Wetaskiwin community.
Sakuragi Japanese Pan Asian Cuisine
A group of friends from different fields of study joined together to form a business which we are all passionate about...food! We opened a restaurant, driven by passion and determination and with the support of the community, Sakuragi continues to feed Wetaskiwin!
The Glens Grill
The pandemic has shown the importance of supporting local. While we've always purchased a great deal of our products locally, this year we've expanded to almost everything. All of our proteins, microgreens, game and fowl are purchased direct from the farmer. Thank you to our farmers and to our community.
Nutters Everyday Naturals
We have stayed open during this time thanks to our staff and their hard work of sanitizing and helping our customers stay safe. Thank you as well to our customers for their trust and support.
Yatin's Kitchen
All of our locations are sending appreciation notes of 20% off to front line workers for working hard during the pandemic.
Beans Coffee Bar & Bistro
We have always provided a safe & enjoyable work environment for our youth in our city. We remained open through COVID-19 with the support of our community and couldn't have done it without YOU!
Barney's Pub & Grill
After the devastation of laying off 90% off our team in March, we are proud to have everyone back and ready to make your visit safe and fun!
Refresh Wellness Centre
When COVID-19 hit we quickly moved our yoga classes to online. It was a steep learning curve but we now offer over 80 online classes! We hope that you enjoy our new way to bring you yoga and strength training and that by joining us you all stay happy and healthy
Manluk Theatre for the Performing Arts
We were in the middle of our popular show “DEARLY DEPARTED” when COVID-19 struck. We had to cancel this funny show in which Mayor Tyler Gandam appeared in a cameo role. During the time that we were closed renovations were done to our historic building. Patrons will hardly recognize our lobby when we re-open our doors. Because of COVID-19 we have implemented a number of measures to ensure everyone’s safety, including reduced, social distance, seating. In September we welcome people back with a new show: “LOVE LETTERS”!
