Why Wetaskiwin

Wetaskiwin's history is rooted in agriculture. The creation of the Wetaskiwin Co-op in 1917 by a group of locals has ensured that there has been value added agriculture in the city for over a hundred years. Even though agriculture is one of our oldest industries, we are proud to say that it continues to be a key industry in our city today.
