Take notice that Council for the City of Wetaskiwin is considering two bylaws which would amend Bylaw 1804-13 being the Land Use Bylaw.

Bylaw 1964-20

This amendment would allow fences up to 1.8 meters (6 feet) tall in the front yards of apartments, townhouses, fourplexes and triplexes, as long as the fence is 85% transparent to preserve sightlines. This amendment would also add wrought iron to the list of allowable fence materials for all residential types.

Bylaw 1965-20 

This bylaw amendment identifies the Subdivision Authority for the city as required by the Municipal Government Act.

City Council will hold a Public Hearing for these proposed bylaws on Monday, June 22, 2020 starting at 4:00 pm via online virtual meeting. Details will be available at www.wetaskiwin.ca

Copies of the proposed bylaws may be inspected by the public on the City website at www.wetaskiwin.ca.

Written submissions to Council regarding either of these proposed bylaws will be accepted if received on or before 1:00 pm on Friday, June 19, 2020 addressed to:
