Wetaskiwin Fire Services will be conducting controlled burns tonight (April 15) starting at 7 PM in the following areas:
- by the railway tracks south of 40 Avenue
- along the walking path between Garden Meadows & Cypress/Clearwater to the ball diamonds
- along the 49 Street ditch to 47 Street.
There will be a large amount of smoke in the area created by this process. Please avoid the area due to safety concerns. If you live near these areas, stay inside with windows closed if you suffer from breathing concerns.
