Important changes to operations at Wetaskiwin's Recycling Centre
We are changing the process for cardboard intake at the recycling centre to ensure this facility is as safe and accessible as possible. The following changes are now in place (as of Friday, May 6, 2020):
- the compactor will no longer be accessible for public use.
- the white shed located on the north side of the compactor will be opened up for anyone wanting to drop off cardboard at the recycling centre.
Please continue to break down your boxes before bringing them to the facility. - City personnel will visit the recycling centre at regular intervals to process the cardboard on site.
