There is a special City Council meeting taking place today, March 31, 2020 at 2:30 pm local time to discuss renewing the existing state of local emergency, photo enforcement during the pandemic, as well as rent deferral for the tenants of the City of Wetaskiwin’s Multi-Plex. SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
MARCH 31, 2020 AT 2:30 PM
via VIDEO CONFERENCE
Pursuant to Section 194(1)(a) of the Municipal Government Act of Alberta, RSA 2000, and amendments thereto, I, Tyler Gandam, Mayor of the City of Wetaskiwin, hereby call, and provide notice of, a Special Council Meeting to be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at 2:30PM, via video conference, to address the following items:
1. Declaration of State of Local Emergency
2. Photo enforcement during COVID-19
3. Rent deferral for Multiplex Tenants
**The City of Wetaskiwin will publish a video with Mayor Gandam following the meeting to update the public on what actions were taken. We ask that you follow Alberta Health’s recommendations at this time, which include postponing all non-essential travel and limiting contact with others as much as possible.
