1. Is the water safe to drink?

Yes. The City's water is still safe to drink.

2. Are we under a boil water advisory?

No, we are not currently under a boil water advisory. We would only need to issue a boil water advisory if we run out of treated water in our reservoirs, which would mean pumping raw (untreated) water through the system to help keep it pressurized. Issuing the Stage 4 water restriction is the best method we have to avoid a boil water advisory until the water treatment plant is fully operational again.

3. How long will the water restriction be in effect?

The Stage 4 water restriction is expected to be in effect until at least Sunday evening (Nov. 28). An update on timelines will be issued by the City as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

4. Can I do laundry or shower during the water restriction?

It's critical we conserve as much water as possible. If you can wait to shower or do a load of laundry, please do. If you do shower, please limit it to 3 minutes. Laundry should wait until absolutely necessary at this time.
